What to expect

Lost Weekend is a classic dive bar. You come for a game of pool, a round of retro video games and a cold beer, not for a DJ or a VIP table. The crowd mixes locals, hospitality workers and visitors, and the room stays casual all night.

Because it stays open until 5 AM, it’s also one of the late-night stops on Española Way. It works as an early-evening hangout from 4 PM or as the last stop after the clubs.

Who runs it

Lost Weekend belongs to Subculture, the South Florida group behind bars and restaurants from Miami Beach to Jupiter. Subculture also runs a second Lost Weekend on Clematis Street in West Palm Beach, plus Kill Your Idol, the live-music bar next door at 222 Española Way.

Getting there

Española Way is a short street of restaurants and bars in the middle of South Beach. Lost Weekend sits on its eastern block, between Collins and Washington Avenues, a few minutes’ walk from Ocean Drive and the beach. Walking or a rideshare is the easiest way to arrive late at night.
