There is something unmistakably Italian about a lemon. Bright yellow fruit hanging over the Amalfi Coast. A chilled glass of limoncello after dinner. Espresso in the morning. Fresh pastries behind the glass. Pizza coming straight from the oven.
This September, a little of that feeling is coming to Collins Avenue.
Lime Tree Cafe, a new upscale Italian-style pizzeria and bakery, is preparing to open at 1560 Collins Ave., Suite 2, Miami Beach, FL 33139, bringing a fresh all-day concept to the heart of South Beach.
And the name tells you exactly where the story begins.
A Little Taste of Italy in Miami Beach
Lime Tree is built around a simple idea: create a place that can feel just as right at 8 in the morning as it does at 10 at night. Think fresh bakery aromas in the morning, coffee and pastries during the day, Italian-inspired food, and pizza later on.
The restaurant plans to open daily from 7 AM until midnight, giving both locals and visitors a new option from breakfast through late-night South Beach cravings. But this isn’t designed as another grab-and-go pizza counter.
Lime Tree is being introduced as an upscale pizzeria and Italian-style bakery, combining the casual appeal of pizza and baked goods with a more polished Miami Beach experience.

Why Lime?
Italy has turned the humble lemon into something much bigger than an ingredient. It represents sunshine, freshness and the Mediterranean lifestyle. Then, of course, there is limoncello. Traditionally associated with southern Italy, limoncello captures almost everything people imagine about an Italian summer in one small glass: citrus, sunshine, long dinners and a reason to stay at the table just a little longer. That makes the Lime Tree name feel particularly at home in Miami Beach. South Florida already has the heat, palms, outdoor dining and late nights. Add Italian flavors, fresh bakery items and pizza, and the Mediterranean connection doesn’t feel very far away.
From Morning Espresso to Late-Night Pizza
One of the more interesting parts of the concept is its schedule. Lime Tree plans to welcome its first customers at 7 AM and remain open until midnight. That gives the space several personalities throughout the day.
Morning can mean coffee and something fresh from the bakery. Lunch can become an easy Collins Avenue stop. Afternoon brings another excuse for espresso and something sweet. Then, as Miami Beach shifts into evening mode, pizza and Italian flavors take over.
And after a night around South Beach? There will still be time for one more slice.
A New Addition to Rakija Hospitality
Lime Tree also joins a hospitality family that Miami Beach visitors may already recognize. The concept is part of Rakija Hospitality, the group behind CAVE 305, Rakija Lounge and Montana’s Miami Beach.
Each venue has its own identity, and Lime Tree introduces something different to the portfolio: an Italian-inspired pizzeria and bakery designed around the entire day.
Its Collins Avenue address also puts the new concept directly in one of Miami Beach’s busiest visitor districts, just steps away from the energy of Ocean Drive and South Beach.
Something Fresh Is Growing on Collins Avenue
Miami Beach doesn’t exactly suffer from a shortage of restaurants. So a new opening needs more than food. It needs personality. Lime Tree is starting with a pretty good one. Lemons. Limes. Italian inspiration. Fresh bakery aromas. Morning coffee. Pizza at night. Maybe a little limoncello spirit somewhere in between.
