Rooms lean into the Art Deco character of the original building. Check-in is from 4:00 PM and check-out is by 11:00 AM, with a 24-hour front desk, concierge, and valet parking on site.

Dining: Laurel and SoFi Coffee

Laurel is the hotel’s Mediterranean restaurant, built around soulful mezze and shareable plates, so you can eat well without leaving the property. SoFi Coffee, the ground-floor cafe near the boardwalk, handles hand-poured espresso, pastries, and lighter daytime stops. Between the two, Balfour covers morning coffee through dinner on site.

Pets and practical details

Balfour is pet-friendly: up to two dogs, 40 pounds each, are welcome for a $150-per-stay fee. Valet parking is available, and the South of Fifth location keeps you steps from the beach and walkable to Ocean Drive and Fifth Street dining while staying set back from the loudest stretch of the strip.
